Our Story

We’re Melissa and Maddy, long-time residents of Cambodia and worldschooling parents of twins. After years of working in hospitality, yoga, and creative education, we felt called to create a space where families could slow down, reconnect, and grow together.

When we first arrived in Kampot, we fell in love with its gentle rhythm — the mango trees, the river’s calm flow, and the open smiles of the community. What began as a dream for a simple family home by the river slowly grew into Shanti Shanti Kampot: a place where children can play freely in nature while parents recharge through yoga, nourishing food, and meaningful connection.

Our riverside playground and yoga shala are more than just spaces — they’re the heartbeat of a community built on peace, play, and belonging. Here, worldschooling families, travelers, and locals come together to learn, share, and celebrate life in all its colorful forms.
